So I was feeling really good heading in to the Double Deuce. They told me to bring $22 and a dream. All I could think about all day was what I would do with all my monbies. First hand after the first break I'm dealt Kings. It gets all in preflop vs. AK and Queens. They hold! So I'm cruising along through a few more breaks. Things are going well as I get my stack up to 34,000. Then I'm dealt Aces. Blinds were 400/800 and I pop it to 2,400 in middle position. The button calls. Flop comes 9 5 4 with two vagiamonds. I bet 3,200. He raises to 6,400. I then make it 12,000. He calls. Turn comes a Q of clubs. I shove my last 20,000. He insta calls with a set of fives. Maybe I overplayed them a bit, but shit. To make matters worse I missed the money by ONE HAND. I was on life tilt for about an hour. I then got over it and railed YD in his $8.80 180 man that he placed 3rd in. NH YD. I had a good little session at the .10/.25 table while watching Tim.

So Nage decides to send me a YouTube link late last night of Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It"...Not really sure why and when I asked him, no reply.

The other day I decided to go back on AJZ68 to toss away my FTPs in some qualifiers. Lucky me, I was able to qualify into the $20+2 200K Double Deuce tourney on Sunday at 4:22 pm. Winner takes down at least 31 grand...

So I moved into some .10/.25 cash games. While the day was quite profitable for me, it's still a bit too swingy for my likings to play four at a time. Ah well, probably gonna fire up some SnGs and a .10/.25 table during the Wings game....yes, I am being a loser this weekend, GFY if you judge me...I started the day at $315 so I'm happy with this latest session.

So there's a few people hating on my hustle. I don't care, no need to justify myself. Those two can SMD...So I'm officially in love with the game again, not that I ever lost it. But the passion's been rekindled per se. I'm tilted that I will be off campus for the Weekend of Terror @ GVSU. But Maurizio is coming to Toronto with us this weekend, should be a great time.

In poker news, played one session today and had three 2nd place finishes. That would sound like my heads up game was weak this afternoon, but I was low in chips in all three. Was in position to win one till some clown calls my all in with A5 to my A9 and he flops the wheel obv. GG.

I really need to do homework...and screw this 3 hour class I am about to go to.

So it's about 6 am and I decide to fire up four $5.50 9 mans. First one, flop the nut flush draw and turn the wheel draw. Four people in a 1000 chip pot. I fire out all in for 1,200. Of course one guy only in for 200 chips decides to call with 2nd pair and it holds. OK. That's poker. Nbd. Meanwhile, the poker gods thought it was a good time to screw with my brain and flop me the stone cold nuts with Q10; AJK rainbow. There is 5 people left and I am 3rd in chips with about 2,500. One fool (2nd in chips) cold shoves all in. He flips up KJ for two pair. Pure, right? Wrong. A nice J of doggie paws peels off on the riv to crush my dreams. 4 outer, GG. So I'm tilted for a minute and that was no time for tilt considering I had good chips in my other 2 tournaments. But as luck would have it, I turn a straight and it puts a possible flush out there. I made a weak tilt call and there is my bubble finish. Down to my last tourney. Blinds at 50/100, I am sitting decent with 5 people left and around 2,400 in chips. Suffered a bad beat then doubled up when I hit my open ended straight flush draw. Down to about 1,800 in chips, I shove with 8's out of the SB with only one limper out there. That limper thinks it is a good idea to call with A7 off suit. Apparently it was, considering he rivered his 3 outer ace. Down to 700, the very next hand I got 7's on the button. Called by 6's. No 6 on the flop. No 6 on the turn. Yea, cry me a river.

So it certainly wasn't the start I was looking for. A nice 0-4. Not a big deal though, I'm in the right frame of mind.

On the other hand, the night was quite adventurous. Reminiscent of the all night grinding with the ole buddy, YD. Strubes, Mcglocks, and I were grinding into the wee hours of the night/morning while Recktard stayed up as long as he could. A psycho female (that will remain anonymous for the time being) assisted in the night's entertainment.

Finally....



Another year. A new school. New city. New grinding venue. Same woman, same Great (capitalized for a reason, jabronis). You can call it an ego, but I call it confidence. And also keep in mind that you can wipe a monkey's ass with what you think. A lot of things are different. Zotes is wiser. Zotes is sharper. He is ready. I am ready. We are ready.

...So my last run did not go quite as planned. That is only because I decided to sell off almost all my funds like a newb. When it was all said and done, I sold off about $600 for pure cash. I was drained. I couldn't take it anymore. A mental grind to say the least. But that was then; this is now. I do not have any specific goals in mind. I have $21.96 left in my Full Tilt account with oodles of FTPs. I am going to do what I need to do to get that account up. If that doesn't work out, I will create a new name to get new bonuses, including rakeback. Stay tuned for that. The blog is back, the passion is back, AJZ68 is back.

Struggle

People think I must be running pretty good to be doing this well...I'm not going to even get into it. I know poker, it's been ALRIGHT...seen some things for the first time. I guess if you play this much with multiple tourneys at a time you are going to see some stuff. Fact is I get my money in with at least a 40% chance of winning the hand 95% of the time...get my money in good 85% of the time...point is, I could be running WAY better and over time it all will even out.

Last night played in a 644 man $3.30 KO tourney, got 8th in that, made about $35. Then this morning I lost a quick $10 9 man and decided to fire up 6 of them. Had 2 really quick exits but was luckily able to come back for a win, two 2nd places, and a third place.

Perserverance is key. The beats will come constantly...it's a matter of how you deal with them and bounce back. Had aces cracked twice back to back. On top of that a flop of A K 4 and I call an all in with AK, guy has KJ...catches running jacks....Anyways, day went pretty well but had to hear some hate before I went to sleep. NBD, I'm happy with what I have done in 5.50's thus far so for those who can't handle the small limits and need to play tourneys with 40% of their b-rolls and constantly go through the same roller coaster...whatever floats his or her boat. Running Much Better

Pokes is a lot more fun when you don't get sucked out on left and right. Yesterday started with a few suckouts but then I delivered a few of my own and got rolling. Unfortunately I couldn't do anything in the MTT's that I played in. People are such donks it's not even funny. Anyways, Pissheads are about to start and then the Super Bowl OBV. I was very close to buying in to a bigger tourney, but I thought better of it. It wasn't so much bad beats now, it's big time coolers and missing on huge draws. Had my trips outkicked a few times, things like that. Flop of 9d Qd 2h and I push with Jd 10d...get called by pockets fours and his hand holds. Early in the day I got close to the $300 plateau but couldn't get over the hump.

Another rough day, but at least made a profit

Started off the day strong getting up to $243 early in the day. Things couldn't hold up when I got sucked out on multiple times again in key spots. However, I was fortunate in a few key pots in a 27 man and I got 3rd in that.

In other news, got accused of calling Drums a "fat fuck" by her...standard Griff still talking to her....anyways, I'm not one to be that mean (cough, cough) but I mean, look at the broad.

Played 4 more 9 mans before bed. 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place finishes. That puts the account to a new high point of $206...only got sucked out on twice in those tourneys, things are turning around.

Shifting to 9 mans

Well, played four 9 man 5.50's and got 2 wins and a 2nd place. Took some more bad beats but was able to curb my tilt into some well timed aggression. I was able to dodge a few bullets after getting sucked out on bad. Considering how aggressive it is getting on here, I think shifting to 9 mans benefits my game.

The beats just keep on coming. Getting snap called by K2 off suit on an all in and he flops 2 deuces against my AK when we are even in chips heads up...Or how about pocket eights losing to pocket fours on the river all in after a flop of 233. I can go on all day, but I'm not going to. It is going to turn around and considering I only went down about $10.50 on the day, with the variety of hits I keep taking, that's a big plus...big thangs are gonna happen, I can feel it. Anywho, tonight I'm going to Diertz' casa for a grind sesh. I'm predicting at least a $50 profit.

Short Day, Same Shit

Before my journey to MSU, I decide to play in two 6 man SnG's...standard I lose the first one getting called by K7 dimes to my AJ dimes...nice 7 peeled on the turn. I was able to take down the other tourney so therefore I profited $8.50 on the day...$91.85 total...I might grind at MSU later...or I'll probably just enjoy watching YD make some more poor choices.

Welp...after searching to find funds for that past month, I finally found some...my credit card. While my plans were to start my grinding via Pokerstars, it had to be Full Tilt due to credit card restrictions. No scruples, I get bonuses and shit. I'm starting this post 2 days late but as of now, I'm up $83.35. And that is with a book list of bad beats. The plan is to never have to buy in online ever again....I have vowed to not play anything higher than 5.50 SnG's and .10/.25...until I reach a certain goal. I've bought in for $100 and my list will increase when my bankroll hits $500.
